The supply of karate equipment has increased as trade
with China, Korea and Japan have continued to open up.
China regaining Most Favored Nation status has boosted
their economy and allowed the US Economy to enjoy cheap
imported goods. Today almost everything is manufactured
out of China. From inexpensive toys to name brand
clothes, the goods flowing out of China is amazing. Even
countries such as Mexico, Indonesia, Thailand are
feeling the pinch. Goods coming out of China are at
substantially competitive prices, many of these
traditional 3rd world countries are having a difficult
time competing. Many of their factories are closing and
actually moving to China.
Martial arts supply have traditionally been out of China, Korea, Japan, and Thailand. Mexico, Indonesia and the Philippines have also contributed to the supply of martial arts equipment. The supply of quality karate equipment can still be found in every one of the above mentioned nations. It's just a matter of knowing who's making them and who's supplying them.
